Diploma in Sign Language Interpreting Graduation 2024
On Friday, 22nd November, the newly refurbished Lounge at Remark! hosted the Graduation for the Class of 2022 - 2024, who have successfully completed the Level 6 Diploma in Sign Language Interpreting at Remark! Training.
The ceremony, held at Remark! was a testament to the hard work, resilience, and dedication of the graduates. The event commenced with an opening speech by our Interpreting Course Teacher - Lynn St John, co-founder of Bruce Delfosse Interpreter Training. Lynn expressed her joy at seeing so many attendees.
Lynn's speech was a heartfelt reflection on the journey of the students and the challenges they faced. She recounted the transition from the Institute of British Sign Language (iBSL) interpreting programmes to Signature, the only other awarding body, after iBSL ceased operations in early 2023. This transition required immense effort, adaptation, and perseverance from both the students and the teachers as well as Remark! Training.
She encouraged the graduates to embrace change, nurture relationships, and never stop dreaming. Her words resonated deeply with the audience, inspiring both graduates and guests alike.
The ceremony also featured speeches from Robert Morgan, Head of Services at Remark!, and Jonny Nelson, Managing Director, who both congratulated the graduates and acknowledged their hard work and commitment.
Our proud Graduates all was wearing their new yellow NRCPD badges officially showing their new status as a RSLI (Registered Sign Language Interpreter).
As the event concluded, the atmosphere was filled with joy and pride. Linda Bruce, the other half of Bruce Delfosse Interpreter Training, gave a rousing closing speech encouraging the graduates to reflect on their journeys, celebrate their successes, and look forward to the future with confidence and ambition.
Congratulations to the Class of 2022 - 2024! May your future be filled with fulfilment and purpose as you continue to pursue your dreams.
