Bob Rose

BSL Level 3 – 6 and Trainee A1 Assessor

  • My name is Jagjeet Rose, but just call me Bob! The reason being I love Bob Marley and I listen to his music all the time. I am passionate about teaching my language, BSL, and giving people the opportunity to become fully bilingual or build on existing language skills.

Over 20 years ago I signed up to a course where the teacher was Deaf and I thought to myself, ‘Why can’t I become a teacher?’. After qualifying I began working in Bedford college, teaching BSL Level 1 and 2. A few years later I gained a PGCE and a Maths degree whilst studying BSL Level 6 at the same time.

My passion for linguistics continued to develop and enhance my BSL teaching. I still recommend all students learn linguistics, whether they are Deaf or hearing.

I teach BSL levels 1 - 6 and deliver Deaf Awareness Training.

Laura Klasupa

BSL Level 1, Deaf Awareness Trainer, Family Sign Teacher and Schools

  • Growing up I knew I always wanted to do something with Teaching but I was unsure of exactly what I'd like to Teach. After much encouragement from many different people in my life, a few years ago I started my journey to become one and have been Teaching ever since.

I've found my passion in teaching BSL, it's incredible to watch people develop their language skills and to see how through Sign Language we're all able to communicate with each other and remove the communication barriers some of us face daily.

When I'm not teaching, I adore travelling, hiking and being surrounded by nature.

Ethel Neal

BSL , Level 2 - 6, A1 Assessor and Deaf Awareness Trainer

  • Ethel was born Deaf and has over nine years teaching experience, including eight years working within the field of British Sign Language. She is a fully qualified BSL teacher and assessor and has worked in large variety of settings both in person as well as online.

"I am enjoying working at Remark! as it is a rewarding job and is giving me an opportunity to teach BSL at all levels. I love teaching and seeing the student's development".

John Archbold

BSL Level 1 – 2, Family Sign Teacher

  • After presenting during a lesson in my college, my tutor suggested that I become a teacher myself. I didn't listen initially but after a few more years and a few more teachers suggesting the same thing, finally I dropped everything to start my journey teaching.

I've now been teaching BSL for over 30 years.  During my time in education, I've thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people, it's further strengthened my passion for teaching.

In my spare time, I like to meet with my friends for nature walks and discovering the culture and histories of different cities and towns.

    I teach BSL Level 2 and Pre-Level 3.
