Summary
This workshop is suitable for all registered interpreters, both trainees and qualified. The workshop is delivered through presentation, with lots of interaction and the opportunity to explore dilemmas. The workshop will look at a range of issues surrounding the codes of ethics and codes of conduct from the regulatory bodies, such as NRCPD, RBSLI, RISLI, and SRLPDC. It will also look at different ethical systems that underpin the codes, fiduciary duty for interpreters, fiscal ethics, some thought experiments, and the ethics of translation.
