In-vision and Signing

In-Vision (known as ‘signing’ to the broadcast industry) is the process of adding a BSL signer in the bottom right hand corner of a screen.

We only ever use native signers – read our 'How to' guide for more information – and all signers are supported by an experienced BSL Monitor and BSL interpreter. 

Providing BSL not only provides access to the 250,000 adults in the UK who rely on BSL for information but also covers your legal duty under the new Equalities Bill and it shows the BSL community that you value their language and want to engage with them. BSL users make up the largest group with the disability spectrum and on average have around £8,000,000 per year in untapped spending potential! Providing access, covering legislation, improving your reputation and potentially bagging a new customer base – we can’t think of any better reasons why you should provide access!
