A momentous ‘well done’ to the British Heart Foundation for their new video providing people who are Deaf or hard of hearing with vital information about their heart health.
The BHF consulted with the Deaf community and invited many agencies to come and speak with them on the subject of making their information accessible to BSL users. The decision was that these videos would be delivered in BSL by a native BSL user as opposed to BSL translation – a brave step for an organisation who, to date, had not produced any BSL materials!

Remark! Translation were delighted to be commissioned for the production of the video – a role our expert team embraced with gusto. Many hours were invested filming in a range of locations (Borough Market was our favourite!) and in our in-house studio.
Post filming the films were edited by our team before being subtitled to make them fully inclusive. The result was a snappy, visually informative, accessible video which reaches its target audience.
The video can be viewed online - in it’s entirety or as 8 bite-sized clips. Want to see for yourselves? Then click here and press play…
Translation are accustomed to being front of camera, but recently a rare opportunity arose
