How to… train to become an interpreter

The question of how to train to become an interpreter is one with many answers, as there are several routes and pathways that you can take in order to become an interpreter.

The map below shows all of Signature’s qualifications, from beginner to professional level and the different routes you can take to become a qualified interpreter. After completing a qualification, you can move on to the next level or you can broaden your knowledge base and study a different qualification at the same level. This map shows you the options you have available to you.

Once you have reached the stage where you can become NRCPD registered, you can also register with the TSLI, and use the TSLI letters after your name.
