At Remark! we (more than most) know just how important sound is and are specialists at dubbing BSL programmes. 

Dubbing BSL is where our strengths lie, ensuring that programmes delivered in BSL are easily understood by mainstream audiences.

We draw on all of our many years of experience within the broadcast industry to create a programme mixed to perfection.

There’s a lot that goes into each dubbing session and much time is devoted to ensuring that we capture the emotions, expressions and depth of meaning that is unique to BSL. All of our dubbing sessions include transcript checking, voiceover casting and a BSL fluent Dub Manager.

The dub takes place at a broadcast sound studio with qualified, experienced sound engineers. The final product is one which is of broadcast quality, perfectly mixed, and voiced by experienced Voiceover Artists - matched especially to the ethnicity, gender and age of the BSL presenter on screen.

Our ethos is that dubbing is not something that is in addition to a programme, it should be considered to be a part of it. We work very hard to make sure that our dubbing is sensitive to the programme, and reflects accurately the tone, style and context.  The concept of ‘one size fits all’ certainly does not apply! 

Dubbing is not limited to programming either, we also regularly provide mixes for websites, training materials and community projects. The list is endless, you name it and we’ll dub it!
