The Hub Series 2 commissioned for 2012!

The Hub – a groundbreaking factual magazine programme aimed at the sign language community – made its debut in October 2010, and with only three episodes left the hugely successful first series is almost ended.

Panic not though, Remark! Production are delighted to announce that BSLBT have commissioned a second series, for 2012!

Broadcast from our extraordinary glass pyramid studio in the heart of London, the programme remit is to get to the “hub” of the stories, people and events that matter to the sign language community.

At home we have covered issues such as the impact of the new Equality Act; the potential of VRS; the closure of Deaf schools and the continuing campaign for sign language recognition. Further afield we have reported on the impact of the recent earthquake on the Japanese Deaf community and interviewed some of the last Deaf survivors of the Kindertransport that brought German Jewish children to safety in Britain.

Already we have some amazing stories lined up for the new series so watch this space to find out when Hub – Series 2 will hit the screen.
