‘Risk-taking programmes, pushing boundaries’
Welcome to Remark! Production
We are an award-winning department, responsible for many programmes on your screens. You might have seen 'Wicked' but have you seen our flagship news programme 'The Hub', or best documentary nominees 'Snapshot' or 'Secret Lab'? Take a look at our showreel above for a taste of what we do.
Remark! Production is the largest Deaf production unit creating broadcast TV programming and video production. We have won several awards for our creative output - most notably 'Best Programme' and 'Best Documentary' at Deaffest - and also for our high level of accessibility and accuracy in BSL on screen.
Our aim is to create excellence in the Deaf media world and we do this through our outstanding creative staff. Our impressive team includes Producers, Directors, Researchers, Production Managers and Editors - we are proud to boast the only Deaf online editor in the country and the only female DSR camerawoman, several ex-BBC producers and lots of new creative talent on mentor schemes. We also seek to support others in the Deaf media through co-productions and freelance networks where we invest in training and mentoring to ensure that the UK has a healthy Deaf-led media for years to come.
Remark! Production is a hive of activity - over the last 11 years the company has contributed to the production of hundreds of programmes, filmed thousands of tapes and brewed around 94,000 cups of tea!
We've made programmes for BBC TV, BSkyB, Channel 4, BSLBT, Maverick TV, Deafinitely Theatre, NDCS, RNID, NSPCC and the Department of Health. The company have also worked on Deaf programmes such as Vee-TV (Channel 4), The Vibe (Channel 4), and See Hear (BBC2).
If you have an idea you'd like to see make it onto the screen, if you want to get involved, or if you want to create films that hit home to a Deaf target audience then get in touch for a chat via email or phone us on 0207 269 2623.
